Unless you give the page a colour, the colour will default to white.

To change the colour you must use the BGCOLOR attribute (attributes go inside the tags).

1. Open your web page, then right click on the page.

2. Choose 'View Source'. The HTML will appear.

3. Find the 'Body' tag and place your cursor between the 'Y' and '>'.

4. Type: BGCOLOR="GOLD"
Note the American spelling and the quotation marks.

5. Save your work.

6. Return to your web page and click 'Refresh' to see your updated page.
