VIEWING YOUR COMPLETED PAGE IN A INTERNET BROWSER 2

Viewing your web page.

Now that you have saved your work you can get the opportunity to see the final result. In this tutorial we will be using the
Internet explorer browser to view any html work that is created.

To view your work you will need to follow the steps listed below

1) Go back to the windows desktop (this is the main screen that you will see when your computer starts.)

2) On this desktop you should be able to see the word Internet explorer and it symbol which is a big letter "e" in blue writing. When you see these sign you will need to double click on the symbol with the left mouse button, which will start up the program.

3) When this program start you will firstly have to go to File and click on the work Open. (By doing this a small box of the same name will appear.)

4) Inside of this box you will see a word called Browse. What you will need to do is click on the browse button. By doing this you will be taken to another box called Microsoft Internet explorer.

5) In here you will need to go to the down arrow that is located near the word Lookin. When you have clicked on this arrow you will be shown a variety of letters and numbers (which are actually the computers hard drives.) What you will need to do here is locate your user ID / User Area and click on it to open it.


6) When you have opened this area you will see a variety of files (normally word processing and picture files that you have created previously in other classes.) In this area you will need to find the file name that you saved your html page under. If you can remember we suggested either just the word web page or your name and web page together.

7) Once you have located your html file (under the saved name) you should then double click on the file with t

he left mouse button. By doing this your file will open up in Internet explorer for you to see.
