| What
do I need to get started? You will need: Editor: An editor is basically just a place to type in your HTML code. I use Notepad for Windows. There is a tutorial for using Notepad in the page Menu (HTML, Page then Notepad tutorial). There are more complicated editors that you can use that do everything including the HTML code. You just "drag and drop" the images and text where you want them and the code is written for you. I do not recommend these. A Web page can be built very quickly with a "drag and drop" editor, but you learn nothing about HTML. If you then want to add something "different" to your page, you will not know where to start. |

Web space: You need this so that other people can view your Web page. This is provided by the school. Graphics: Graphics (pictures or images) can be used to enhance your page. After you learn enough HTML to make a Web site, you might want to use a graphics programme so you can create your own graphics. Creating your own graphics will make your page original, it then stands out from all the other sites on the Web. |

| Ideas: To create a great page that
everyone will want to visit you must try and be creative and original. Maybe
you can write about what you like to do, music, sports.......... the list is
endless. |
