How do I change my background?
Unless you give the page a colour, the colour will DEFAULT to white. To change the colour of your page you must change the BGCOLOR ATTRIBUTE. (Attributes go inside tags)
Note that BG is short for BackGround and colour is spelt the American way COLOR.

If you only want a background colour, add this tag after the </HEAD> tag:

<BODY BGCOLOR="#hex code here">

To find the colour to put in the #hex code, click here or go to Colour in the Menu.

How do I add a background image to my page?
To add a background image to your page, you need to add this tag after the </HEAD> tag.

Substitute your own information where you see blue text:

<BODY BACKGROUND="YourBackgroundImageName.gif">

If you want to have a colour background AND a background image (you will have a colour background while the background image loads), you can add this tag after the </HEAD> tag:

<BODY BACKGROUND="NameOfBackground.gif" BGCOLOUR="#hex code here" >

You can also have a fixed background. When you scroll down your page, your images and text will move but the background image will stay in a fixed position. Just add this tag after the </HEAD> tag:

<BODY BACKGROUND="YourImageName.gif" BGCOLOUR="#hex code here" BGPROPERTIES="fixed">

Unfortunately, this tag only works in the Internet Explorer browser. Netscape ignores this tag, showing a normal background image instead.
