It is simple to make a background colour for a Marquee by using the BGCOLOR tag plus the colour hex code. If you do not know the hex code look it up using the colour charts or slider. These can also be found in Colour in the Menu as well.
<MARQUEE BGCOLOR="#hex code here">Your message here</MARQUEE>
You can add different widths to any marquee by using the WIDTH tag:
<MARQUEE BEHAVIOR="alternate" BGCOLOR="#hex code" WIDTH="400"> Your message here </MARQUEE>
